Microblading FAQ's

How Long Does It Take?

The entire process takes Sarah approximately 2 hours. She will shape and style your brows to your approval and then apply a topical numbing cream. You and Sarah will then select an ink colour that closely resembles your own natural brow hairs and then proceed with the procedure.

Does It Hurt?

The pain it minimal as a topical numbing cream is applied before hand. Some people describe the sensation to that of a mild sunburn, some say its comparable to light cat scratches while others say the tweezing of a stray hair after to procedure hurts more than the tattooing itself. Everyone's pain tolerance is different. Please do not take advil or ibprofene afterwards, however Tylenol is permitted. It is normal for the area to be a bit red and swollen after the procedure.

How Long Does It Take To Heal?

It takes approximately 7-14 days for your brows to heal over. On days 2-4 it is common for the ink to darken compared to the first day. By day 5-7 your eyebrows may start to get patchy and peel. By days 8-10 it will appear as if your newly inked brows have disappeared but by days 14-28 your brows will have come back. By the time they will have fully healed, the ink will have faded by about 40%. It is around this time that you would come in for your 4-6 week touch up.

How Long Does It Last?

Microblading will last approximately 1-3 years. It will naturally start to fade over time and this is based on everyones unique skin type and skin care. Factors such as skin type, age, sun exposure and skin care products can all affect how long your new eyebrows last. Some people like to get their brows touched up around 18 months after the initial appointment.
