Carrie has done makeup for several TV commercials I've worked on over the past year. Shooting with a digital cinema camera that has 4x more resolution than HD has revealed just how important good makeup is.

We didn't realize just how important until we worked with a different makeup artist who had worked exclusively in TV, and the footage we shot was of such high image quality that it revealed problems with the makeup, a mismatch between foundation and concealer, that we hadn't even noticed with the naked eye. It became quite a difficult job to try and fix the footage later.

With Carrie's work, we’re able to light a scene as creatively as we want without revealing imperfections in people's faces, to the resulting footage already showing the perfect skin tone, colour, and shading, so no extra work is required in post to get people looking their best.

I think her experience working for high-end photo shoots has given her the skills needed to work on projects that demand the greatest attention to detail to suit the highest-quality imaging possible today.

In addition, Carrie's unfailing professionalism and positive demeanour have made her a valuable asset on productions with demanding schedules and conditions. She can always be counted on to get the job done right and exactly on time, while making the talent - who usually see her before they see anyone else on the shoot - comfortable and relaxed.
